This is sort of an awkward, and not-so-well thought through topic. Just there was some discussion of the relationship between Mo and Charlie, and the character development of Jean that can't be continued in another thread.
So this is kind of a reply to TOSC post that I couldn't reply to, but also for others to give their say on these fields.
- Would you like to see a return from Charlie?
- Would you like to see the relationships between Mo/Charlie, Charlie/Kat, Mo/Kat explored more?
- Would you keep Jean Slater on the show, if the writers finally gave her some decent material?

I think Mo and Charlie were always an amazing pairing. A son-in-law basically fathering and disciplining his mother-in-law was an idea that kept me interested in their relationship. I love how Viv was used as such a big link for these characters for over 10 years, when she didn't even appear.
As for Jean, every time I hear "Sausage Surprise!" I feel let down. They started off Jean as a bit of a tragedy. She'd let her illness take her over and she was stewing inmuic her own dirt in a darkened council flat. Compare that to today where she pours herself over someone like Snooreman? Please, I know which one I found more interesting to watch.
I really like your job idea. Could a storyline involving discrimination in the workplace not be good with that? Funny that we come up with good storylines in less than a minute, while BK gives Jean the same old stuff for over a year.
Viv really was such a poignant link between Charlie and Mo. Even though we never met her, I could really feel the massive impact that her departure had had on the Slater family. I for one would love to see more of this relationship. Charlie often felt like a moral backbone of the Slater family, along with Little Mo, and his loss has been felt by myself.
Jean Jean Jeanie. I really feel that Gillian Wright has proved on a number of occasions that she's one of the top actresses in the show. There were such powerful scenes in December 2005. And she is a real asset...when used correctly. Alas, they don't seem to know what to do with her. I think a workplace bullying storyline would work brilliantly. Perhaps we could see her spearheading a community based project, only for her to be victimised by a random-guest-character. I think this would work nicely - giving Gill some decent material whilst raising awareness at the same time.
